Weird behavior after API Injection

Good Afternoon all!!!
I created an application, a wizard to inject a ticket via API into ServiceDesk, it's so I can gather all the info people usually neglect or do not have access too and it works quite well.  However, I have noticed anything injected in this way always looks "new" in the requests list.  if you say click on the ticket, send a request for more detail or what not, the bolding goes away from a normal ticket till the next time it is updated by a user.  But the ones I have injected, stay bold for the duration, no matter the change to the ticket, it still looks like it has pending data from the user.  See the included example.  The ticket 20204071 has been updated with a user/technician back and forth several times but still looks new...
