I would love to see a shelf product that would show physical representation of the datacenter down to the rack level and each peice of equipment in the physical rack. Each rack could be setup with custom U sizing and each piece of equipment type defined to how many U's it is, vendor, and etc. then each item placed in the rack would be selected from the type, fill in a serial number, server name, IP address, notes and etc.

 

With this visual representation of the datacenter and housed server racks you could also tie this into the application and network management modules. When an alert is activated not only can it show what the alert is but physically where the peice of equipment is located.

 

There is currently an opensource product called rack money but this is no longer being enhanced and obviously has no direct integration with managed engine products.
