VMware ESX monitor now includes Storage Adapter stats

As of version release 13.8, we have revamped the monitoring of  VMware ESX/ESXi Now, you'll be able to monitor VMware storage adapters too!

Before the introduction of VMware storage adapter monitoring, integration with a storage monitoring application was required to view storage adapter stats. This augmented version completely eliminates the need for a separate integration with a storage monitoring software.

Now, you'll be able to access different storage devices, view and compare the reports of Storage Adapters, and configure alarms accordingly. You'll also be able to map the VMware servers and the VMs to their physical storage arrays.

When you go tMonitors > VMware ESX/ESXi >Monitor name>Storage tab, you'll be able to see:

  • Storage Adapters table which displays the VM's performance data such as, Adapter name, status, driver, type, model, target count, LUN count, path count, and health.

  • Storage mapping which displays the relation between ESX servers, Virtual Machines, and its corresponding datastores in the form of a hierarchy tree.

Don't forget to check out the new enhanced version! Leave your comments below. We'd love to hear your thoughts.
