VMWare ESX/ESXi addon behavior.

First I want to say that we really like Application Manager. It is a great value for all that it does.
We were excited to see the VMWare monitor appear in version 9.2.
However when we added our vSphere setup as a monitor in AM we got a surprise.

1. When we added the VMWare ESX/ESXi add-on it re-created all our current VM monitors as new monitors which pushed us over our license limit. This was highly unexpected and not desirable because the ESX VM monitor doesn't show the level of detail a direct monitor shows.

2. If I remove the newly added monitors from a host they come right back!

3. When a VM is shut down it causes an alarm on the host as well as the VM. This is not desirable either.
If there is nothing wrong with the host it should not have an alarm. Or at least only a warning alarm.

My question is: Can this behavior be changed?

This add-on should have monitored all of ESX without creating a new monitor for every VM. Especially since it cost extra.
The add-on should be configurable because many shops will need a slightly different config.
