Virtual machine is connected Alarm

Virtual machine is connected Alarm

Hello, we're using OpManager 11600 and I have had this issue for some time now. It just recently became a real pain. We have a number of Virtual Machines which are regularly powered off and on for maintenance and we have noticed that when Virtual Machines are powered off or migrated we receive several alarms for each device. These alarms do not seem to reflect the settings which we have configured.

New UI > Settings > Monitors > VMWare Events

VmConnectedEvent   - Severity set to Clear
VmMigratedEvent   - Severity set to Clear
HostConnectedEvent   - Severity set to Clear
VmPoweredOnEvent   - Severity set to Clear
DrsVmPoweredOnEvent   - Severity set to Clear
DrsVmMigratedEvent   - Severity set to Clear
VmRelocatedEvent - Severity set to Clear

Today when OpManager identified these systems as being connected after a host had been power cycled, it sent out attention alarms for every one of our Virtual Machines. Here is an example of one of the e-mail notifications that we received for one device during this period.

Alarm Message #1: Status shows Attention (Should be clear)
Virtual machine HS-SAL is connected

Alarm ID: 307333
Alarm Category: VirtualDevice
Alarm Time: Feb 28, 2017 5:14:09 PM

Alarm Message #2:  Status shows Attention (Should be clear)
HS-SAL on  esx-51 in SSB_DC is powered on

Alarm ID: 307334
Alarm Category: VirtualDevice
Alarm Time: Feb 28, 2017 5:14:09 PM

Alarm Message #3:  Status shows Attention (Should be clear)
DRS migrated HS-SAL from esx-51 to esx-54 in cluster SSB-HA-5.1 in SSB_DC

Alarm ID: 307344
Alarm Category: VirtualDevice
Alarm Time: Feb 28, 2017 5:17:37 PM

Here is an example of what the alerts look like within OpManager (Different device, same issue):

The actual configuration of alarm severity doesn't appear to be taking effect on virtual devices.

Thanks very much in advance,
Jeff
