Verifying password with Windows agent

Verifying password with Windows agent

I have installed PMP in a single AD domain.  I have installed an agent on a test server and, thus far,
have been unable to successfully verify the password unless the agent logs on under a local
account in the administrators group.  When the agent logs on under "Local System account" or
under an active directory account in the administrators group, the verify fails.

It appears to me that what is happening is PMP passes the credentials to be verified to the agent
which probably spawns a process using those credentials and tests to see if the process starts
successfully. If this is true then it seems to me that a deliberate attempt is being made to limit
the functionality of the agent depending on its logon account. Why?

When the agent is installed, by default it logs on with "Local System account".  This allows
for password changes but not for password verifies.  Unless someone can explain to me why
this is important, I respectfully request a work around or a fix. I do not want to install a new
account on every system that has an agent and modify the agent's logon properties.
