Validate Change IDs for Password Requests
I just upgraded from PMP 9101 to PMP 9600. I am interested in using a feature that was introduced in 9200:
"Password Manager Pro now integrates with ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus by validating change request in addition to the ticket ID entered by the user in the ticketing system. And validated occurs only when the change ID provided is approved in ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus."
We already use ServiceDesk Plus to validate ticket IDs when a technician requests a password.
I went to the "Ticketing System Integration" screen where we already have our AUTH token and ticketing system URL for SDP, and I checked the box for "Use ChangeID for Validation." I then tested it with an open change request ID.
The output was as follows:
"{"operation":{"result":{"message":"Module provided in the request is not supported.","status":"Failed"}}}"
Can someone please tell me what additional steps are needed to make this work? Is there a minimum version of SDP we need to be using?
Also, the verbiage around the check box makes it sound like this an "either-or" choice - that we can EITHER use Changes OR Tickets for validation. The release notes make it sound like you can use BOTH. Which is it?
Thanks,
- Steve
