Over the last few weeks, we have been explaining how to automate user provisioning, set up HR-driven user provisioning, and more. If you missed them, click here to catch up.
Automation coupled with a well-defined workflow helps accelerate the user provisioning process while also ensuring adherence to compliance standards. For example, with the use of workflows, you can ensure that user accounts are created only after the necessary approvals of designated authorities such as HR managers, financial controllers, department heads, etc.
ADManager Plus also allows you create other custom workflows that help standardize the different day-to-day processes in your organization.
This week's post will take you through the steps to configure a workflow with multiple levels of approval, to review and approve user creation requests.
How to create a custom workflow for managing user creation requests?
1. Navigate to Workflow > Configuration > Business Workflow.
2. Click on the Edit icon next to the built-in User Onboarding Workflow.
3. You can customize the name and description if needed.
4. In the Workflow Stages, select the approval levels (Reviewer, Approver, Executor) you want in your workflow. You can also choose the number of reviewers, approvers and executors needed.
5. Click on the Configure option under each role to assign technicians or users to each role.
