You can configure automations to modify users based on specific conditions. To do so, you will need to apply a suitable user modification template to the automation being created. The modification rules option in the user modification templates lets you configure rules to automatically update specific attributes if a certain condition is satisfied. For example, auto-update the "manager" field depending on the values in "department" and so on. To specify the user accounts to be modified, you can use the CSV import option.

Firstly, you need to follow the steps mentioned here to create a user modification template. After creating the template, please follow these steps:

Step 1: Go to the Automation tab.

Step 2: Click the link Create new automation.

Step 3: Provide a name and description for this automation in the name and description fields. Select user automation as the automation category. Select the domain.

Step 4: In the field automation task/policy, select modify user by template. 

Step 5: In the field template to be applied, select the template with the required conditions specified.

Step 6: In location of CSV, provide the path where the CSV file with user details is located. Select the option select only the appended objects from the file to select only the new file or only the appended objects from the specified file.

Step 7: If you want to implement review-approval workflow in this automation, select implement business workflow option.

Step 8: Specify when and how often should this automation run in the run at and for each options.
