Hey folks!

With Windows 10 versions reaching their end of life rapidly, it's imperative that you update them to the latest to fend off exploits. While we understand how painstaking it can be to update the multitude of machines in your enterprise, we have chipped in to make it easier.

Starting Apr. 13, 2023 - Windows 10 versions 2004 and above can seamlessly be upgraded to the latest version with a single patch installation (enablement package) through Vulnerability Manager Plus. Once the enablement package is installed, the required dependency patch will automatically be installed in the systems.

For a better understanding, let's take a look at these cases.

• For existing Windows 10 (20H2/21H1/21H2) users:

Note: Windows 21H1 reached the end of life on 13 Dec 2022. Learn more about Windows 10 end of life versions.

To migrate to the latest version, refer to the following steps:

1) In the product console, navigate to Patches > Missing Patches

2) Search for the required patch ID (as mentioned in the table at the bottom of the post).

3) Deploy the patch either manually or via an Automate Patch Deployment task.

• For existing Windows 10 2004 users:

Note: 

Per Microsoft, "For devices running Windows 10, versions 20H2, 21H1, or 21H2, you can take advantage of an enablement package for a fast, easy installation experience."

Hence you can migrate to either 20H2 or 21H2 with an enablement package and then migrate to 22H2.

1) In the product console, navigate to Patches > Missing Patches

2) Search for the required patch ID (as mentioned in the table at the bottom of the post).

3) Deploy the patch either manually or via an Automate Patch Deployment task.

Points to be noted

• The patches for the latest versions (enablement packages) will be listed under Missing Patches

(For ex: If you're on version 20H2, patches for 21H2 and 22H2 would be listed)

• If you have configured an Automate Patch Deployment task and have selected Feature Updates under Microsoft Updates, the patches would automatically be tested and deployed (if approved).

• To prevent the Feature Updates from being automatically tested and deployed, you can decline them.

To decline patches,

• Navigate to Patches > Missing Patches

• Select the required patches (i.e. the enablement packages)

• On the top menu, click on Mark as > Declined
