Upgrade to macOS 11 Big Sur with Desktop Central

Hello everyone,

Apple has released it's latest macOS 11 Big Sur, on November 12, 2020 worldwide and we are elated to announce that it is supported by Desktop Central from build version 100579.

You can now seamlessly upgrade all your mac devices to Big Sur using  Desktop Central by following the steps given in the document - Upgrade to Big Sur

New features: Big Sur brings with it a refined new design, powerful controls and intuitive customization options. Here are some top features of this version

  1. A new look: Design tweaks with changes in App icons and menu compression that make the user interface look more iPad like.

  1. Safari improvements: Biggest update to Safari since its original launch in 2003. It has become faster and you can watch 4K HDR content on it now. Additionally you can also use Siri's built-in translator to turn web pages in foreign languages to one of its 7 supported languages.

  1. A control center and new widgets: A control center that gives quick access to Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, brightness, Do Not Disturb, sound, and current media playback.

  1. New maps: To compete with Google maps, Apple has introduced Look Around, Guides, cycling and navigation, limited to few cities and so on.

  1. Upgraded messages: The mac version of the Messages app has been greatly revamped with this release.
