hi

i have finally decided to upgrade my 7022 installation (works great now after all the teething problems i had with the upgrade from version 6 to 7)

yesterday i made a snapshot of my VM (so am able to go back to before upgrade)

i run the updatemanager.bat file and it comes up and i point it to the 7022 to 7.5 upgrade file from the adventnet website (which i have downloaded)

the update starts and it tells me it is going to make a backup and i can see that the backup folder is being populated with backup data but once it has collected 9mb of backup data it seems it no longer progress (normal backups are usually around 33mb)

it just seems to sit there, the installation icon is showing activity but the progress bar has not moved for about an hour now and is basically at 0%

overnight backups of the database are working fine so i am not sure why this backup is not progressing at all.

after about 1 hour I reverted the VM snapshot and used by version 7022.

this morning i attempted a 2nd upgrade (again took VM snapshot) and it is doing the exactly same thing, it seems to stop at the backup process (again only went to about 9mb in size)

has anyone else had this issue and how did you fix it?
