Upg v6 to v7 - Anyone can login in now

Hi All,

Just wondering if you guys can help me.... not sure if this is a bug or not, or if its always been there... although dont recall it.

I work for a school, a large school... where we have more computers than students. We've been using ServiceDesk now for like a year, and when we had v6, I am pretty sure the only people who could log into it, were the ones that AD (ActiveDirectory) scan import allowed.

ie: I let SDP scan our AD for all Teacher accounts/logins, leaving the student accounts unchecked and I am pretty sure back then, that with a student account, they couldnt log in and make requests.

The other day, a couple of our more cheeky/naughty students, logged into it, and logged a couple of fake requests. So I tried to login (nothing fancy) into SDP 7 (as we upgraded) and sure enough, I can login with basic rights, but still able to make a request. Now I am sure this didnt happen under v6.

I've searched the requesters, and the only ones in there are staff.... how can students access this...?

And what can I do to stop the students from access SDP please....??

Thanks,

HCTC
