Update to 14620 failed - Unable to rollback

Hi, 

When updating från 14600 to 14620 the servicedesk service user wasn't sysadmin in the MSSQL server and due to that the update failed. Trying to rollback the installation according to How to downgrade ServiceDesk Plus when rollback update fails (manageengine.com) and running the setup file, after a couple of seconds it terminates with the error "The version comparison failed. The setup will now terminate".   

1. Can we rerun the update with the correct permissions and it will be enough?
2. If the above wont work how can we get the installation to work?

I had renamed the existing installation to Servicedesk.old.
