In most PCs, there is a field in the BIOS called Asset Tag# which can be used by individual companies to track their assets by manually keying in the company asset Tag#. (I have seen this for Dell and Lenovo PCs/Laptops). This is separate from the manufacturer's Serial number and Serial Tag.

Updating this will allow us to track assets better in our Asset Management system which feeds back into Service Desk plus from Endpoint Central Central. I have seen that if we manually type in the company tag# in the BIOS in the above mentioned field, this is then reflected in the Asset Management and in Service Desk Plus as "Asset Tag".

I wanted to know if there is currently any facility to update this via Endpoint Central (remotely) rather than visiting PCs manually and logging into the BIOS and updating it.
