Update Milestone Actual Start, Actual End, Scheduled Start and Scheduled End datetime based on what is updated in associated tasks: Huge time saver
Request:
Update the Milestone Actual Start datetime, Actual End datetime, Scheduled Start datetime and Scheduled End datetime based on what is updated in the associated tasks.
If there is a way to do this now or some sort of backend scripting please let me know ASAP.
Example:
The milestone is setup and may or may NOT have a value in the Actual Start datetime, Actual End datetime, Scheduled Start datetime or Scheduled End datetime fields.
However as the technicians work with the associated tasks setting any of those fields they should automatically be updated at the milestone level or at least given an option to make it happen.
Perhaps there could be a ServiceDesk Plus option called
"Auto Update Milestone Scheduled and Actual Start / End Datetime when updating associated tasks?".
Or perhaps a button on the Milestone task tab to allow the technician to flow up the values.
An option to turn on or off I think would be better.
This is another HUGE time killer for our team as if you want to have accuracy in your project documentation you have to keep updating all these dates and it has gotten to either no one wants to do it and it doesn't happen or it is inaccurate or you kill a LOT of time.
