This relates to a question I posted yesterday.  I am trying to setup SNMP trap alerts from one install of OpManager to another remote install.  I am trying to make it automatic for the remote site so as alarms are generated and cleared locally they are generated and cleared remotely.  One problem I am having is making sure the alarms generated by the SNMP traps are both unique and able to be tied to their clear message.  Is there anyway that in the notification profile I can get a unique alarm ID (or any identifiable info) to be set as an SNMP trap varbind so that I can distinguish alarms and tie them to their clear messages easier?

 

At the moment I am creating a different trap and processor for each type of alarm we are passing to the remote install, but this is cumbersome and not very elegant.  It also runs into a couple of problems with some of the interface alarms as stated in my earlier post.
