Here at Highlands & Islands Fire & Rescue Service in Scotland we have installed a trial version of Desktop Central which I must say we are very impressed with so far.
What we are trying to do is this:-
We have over 500 machines within the service which are currently using OFFICE 2003 but we would like to use Desktop Central to test a few machines by Uninstalling OFFICE 2003 and deploying OFFICE 2007.
However, when we are trying to do this OFFICE 2003 uninstalls using the MS Uninstall tool from their web site, OFFICE 2007 installs but it either installs Just OUTLOOK or it installs everything apart from OUTLOOK or it looks like it has installed all applications but does not finish install. until I went to open one application which then opened up the OFFICE 2007 install window and finished the install even though we had set it to silently install.
Any help would be gratefully accepted as this is causing a headache and need to get this OFFICE 2007 rolled out ASAP. Whats the best way to uninstall OFFICE 2003 then install OFFICE 2007 using DC?
