Unable to reset password / agent crashing.

Im currently trialling PMP to see if it meets the needs of our company.
We are a small IT support firm who wish to keep the passwords of our clients in a secure database. This bit seems to work fine with access levels etc etc.
The feature I saw was the ability to remote password reset. Now the problem is this needs to be over the internet across multiple domains. From what I can tell this should be possible, but the main problem I seem to be having is that the agent will either crash with the following error:
I have tried setting the service to run as one of the domain admins but to no avail.
The only way I can seem to get the service to run is change the agent.conf to point to my external Ip and then get the firewall to allow this through.
So,
Is this how I should be doing things? Or should I be setting things up another way?
