We have discovered that it the target machine has multiple IP addresses in different subnets then the we are unable to remote control them.

 

The patch and asset scan work fine to these machine, however the remote control fails with "The network path was not found"

 

After testing we realised it only affects target clients that have virtual NIC's configured for different subnets. The machines with the problem were running either VMWare Workstation or Oracle VM Virtual Box which both create virtual NIC's to communicate between the physical host and the virtual machine.
