Troubleshooting WSUS with Patch Connect Plus: Third-Party Updates Not Detecting for Foxit PDF Editor and Adobe Reader

Hello everyone,

I'm currently working in a test environment where I've set up Patch Connect Plus (PCP) on a server to manage third-party updates via WSUS. I've published several applications to the WSUS server, and everything seems to be configured correctly on that end.

To give you the full picture: I connected a client machine to this WSUS server, and it successfully received and installed updates for various apps, including Notepad++, WinRAR, Firefox, and others. However, the client isn't picking up updates for Foxit PDF Editor and Adobe Acrobat Reader. Specifically, Windows Update on the client doesn't even recognize that these two apps need updating—it doesn't detect them as applicable or pull the updates from the WSUS server.

I do not know is it because of their size or any other reasons.

I've double-checked a few things to rule out basic issues:
- The updates for Adobe and Foxit are properly published to WSUS via PCP.
- They're approved in the WSUS console for the relevant computer group.
- The client has older versions of both Adobe Acrobat Reader and Foxit PDF Editor installed, which should make them eligible for the newer versions available on the WSUS server.
- All other third-party updates are downloading and installing without a hitch, so the overall WSUS/PCP integration appears to be working.

My goal is to force the client to detect these specific updates, pull them from the server, and install them. I've tried standard troubleshooting like forcing detections with commands such as `wuauclt /detectnow` and resetting Windows Update components, but no luck so far. I'm open to any suggestions on advanced steps, like PowerShell scripts for remote forcing or app-specific tweaks (e.g., handling UAC for Adobe or ensuring process closures for Foxit).

Has anyone run into a similar detection issue with PCP and WSUS for these particular apps? I'd appreciate any insights or workarounds you've found effective in your setups.

Thanks in advance for your help!
