Trouble adding standard WMI monitors (username/password)

Trouble adding standard WMI monitors (username/password)

Hi,

I've just installed OpManager (latest version) on a 2003 box and adding WMI monitors for other 2003 servers on the network works fine as long as username is entered as hostname\username. We're NOT running a domain controller on the network. On the 2000 boxes, however, non of the WMI monitors work whichever permutaion of username/password I enter - I've tried hostname\username, hostname/username, username, etc. I've double checked that the services "Windows Management Instrumentation" "Windows Management Instrumentation Extensions" are running. Every time I do the "test WMI monitor" it comes back with

The Monitor did not respond to the test request
Summary
Device Name truman
Monitor Name CPUUtilization
Protocol WMI
OID
CPU Utilization
Possible reasons
1. The device might be down.
2. The username and password provided for this device might be wrong.
3. The domain password for this device was not provided
4. The domain password for this device might be wrong

Please advice,
