We noticed when creating some reports that tickets are sitting in the trash, and not being removed. We had about ~10 tickets in here over a number of months. We are able to delete them manually without issue, but we rarely check the trash, and tested that our scripts and custom rules still apply (depending on status) to tickets located here, so to avoid possible unwanted emails or reminders for tickets that have been deleted, having the automatic removal would be great.
As seen in the screenshot, the test ticket I created was from December 19th. As of today, January 2nd, it is still sitting in the trash. While I do not have an image of it, when we had the other 10 tickets in the trash that we had removed, there were varying status states other than "open", so if it's a conflict with a status, it is not unique to the "open" status.
Again, while this hasn't caused any issues for us yet, we want to explore fixes proactively to prevent ticket templates and scripts in the future from emailing users about a ticket that no one can see and that we have forgotten about in the trash, among other possibilities.
