Tracking hosted software applications
My org just launched SDP Cloud and we're curious to hear how others are tracking hosted software applications like DocuSign that a network or domain asset scan would not pick up. We have quite a few hosted applications that we support for our end users and want to be able to document those apps and give technicians and requesters visibility to that list for associating with service requests and incidents. We've considered manually adding them under the Assets module, setting up a custom module, and a few other options not worth mentioning, but a pretty key requirement for us is the ability to create lookup fields on our request templates (ex. letting requesters submit tickets requesting access to one or more software apps, being able to pull reporting to determine which apps are resulting in the most tickets, etc.). I haven't been able to figure out how to create a lookup field just for software-type assets, and as far as I know the lookup field only supports single-select, not multi. How have others handled this?
