[Tips & tricks] Set up downtime notifications to instantly identify service interruption.

ADSelfService Plus can notify admins via email when it stops running due to service stoppage or when someone shuts it down for maintenance. With this notification, you can immediately take corrective actions, and get ADSelfService Plus up and running. This will help users access self-service features and use single sign-on without major interruption.

Steps to configure downtime notifications:

  • Log into ADSelfService Plus as an administrator.
  • Navigate to Admin > Product Settings > Mail/SMS Settings.
  • Under the Mail Settings tab, select the Enable Downtime Notification option.
In the  Admin Mail Address field, enter the email address of the user to whom the downime notifications should be sent. If you want  to send the notification to multiple users, use comma as a delimiter. 




  • Click Save.
