Tip #8: Audit DAG failovers using Exchange Reporter Plus.

As an administrator, you must know how painful database failovers are. They can cause unavailability of messaging options and communication loss for your employees, and you have to check your failover event logs to find out what caused the failover. Analyzing logs can be a complex and time-consuming process, which is why you need Exchange Reporter Plus' DAG Failover audit report.

This report helps you monitor DAG failover logs and find reasons for the failovers for Exchange Servers 2010, 2013, and 2016.

To access this report:

  1. Go to the Auditing tab.
  2. Click the DAG Failover report from the DAG Auditing category. 

This report shows you the name of the database, server name, failover reason, and time at which it happened.

Additionally, you can also configure alerts to receive real-time notifications about DAG failovers. This way, you can continuously track and audit DAG failovers effortlessly.
