Timing a Technician

Timing a Technician

I am trying to figure out how the timer works with incidents and how to track the technician's time completing.  I tried going through the admin guide and what not, but it's still not clear to me.  Mostly, when a new incident comes in, the timer is on, then when I assign it to a technician, does the time start over?  Or how would some of you recommend it be setup?
