Tickets by Time Entered

I'm trying to create a time series report that will allow me to see what time of day our tickets are being entered. The idea behind this is to take a month of tickets, and compile them into a line chart that will show us a trend on what time of day we see the most issues come in. I'm not seeing a way to do this with the build in reports, is this something that can be accomplished with a custom query?
