Test of OpManager, support needed
Hi all!
I'm testing OpManager with the intensions of replacing CA UniCenter.
But I've got a few problems with HP-UX and Netware servers.
Netware: The netware servers are running the hostmib.nlm (20040805) and I can use mib browser to see all required information. The CPU utilization monitor also work. This monitor are using the CPU Utilization based on HOSTRESOURCE MIB. But what should I do with disk and memory monitors? I know I could make custom monitors, but these things should work straight out of the box right?
Hp-Ux: version 11.11 64 bit. Installed the Emanate SNMP agent, but it doesn't seem to be supporting host information. I've tried to install Net-SNMP 5.2.1.x but it fails during make commands. No solutions found yet. Is Net-SNMP the only recommended SNMP agent for HP-UX?
In MIB browser I can use different mibs to find the information needed, hp-unix.mib is one that gives me all the information needed with additions to RFC1213-mib. I would like to get OpManager to work with my HP-UX servers like it should, and not have to go through custom monitors.
I guess I'll have a few more questions during the evaluation process but for now these issues are the most important ones.
Kind regards,
Rune
