Cookie-Free Domain

Definition — What is Cookie-Free Domain?

A Cookie-Free Domain is a very simple concept. Exactly referring to a domain that does not send commands to a user's browser to store cookies from a website. In general, cookies are used for tracking, cart item, session login, etc. When a user requests a web page URL (domain) then it sends back to the requested user data along with some response headers. Cookie-free domains are intended to serve static files like images, CSS files, scripts, and others. By doing this cookie-free domain configuration can decrease the size of the total request made by the user’s browser to the server. Thus, by making some changes to the domain and lowering the cookie requests, websites will run smoothly and it can answer necessary requests faster.
