What is the difference between the Switch Port Mapper feature available in DeviceExpert and the one available in the IPAM plugin?

 

I tested the SPM in IPAM and it worked great, but ultimately we did not purchase the IPAM plugin. I recently found the SPM feature available in the DeviceExpert/NCM plugin that we own. I attempted to use it, but it doesn't seem to work, or at least it doesn't work the way the SPM worked in the IPAM plugin.

 

I don't get IP addresses, MAC addresses, or DNS names for the devices connected to the ports on my switches (Cisco IOS). I believe SPM in IPAM asked for router information so it could pull L3 details, but I don't see anything like that for SPM in DeviceExpert. Is there something I am missing?
