Suggestions for improvements on PO process

I have a number of items to suggest for the PO process and ancillary functions to this process. I'm hoping I can describe it well.

1. The PO process is very cumbersome. The entire user interface "experience" is burdensome and clunky. It takes an entire screen to do a single line item.

Suggestion: Since a vendor is selected, show ALL the items from that vendor, with a check box at the left side to select the desired items, and have a box on the right side that allows for you to pick quantity. When finished, save the entire entry when finished.

I realize that this can somewhat complicate how this is conducted, since we're dealing with static web pages, and how you pass information from one page. But imagine if you were filling out an old fashioned paper form, you'd fill it out line by line, adding quantity on the line, unit pricing, and total pricing. (Yes, I realize that a PAPER form may be an old idea, but the user interface is fast and intuitive, at a glance. :-) )

2. When adding/viewing items, it should also be filtered using a vendor (you only see a vendors list of items), with a scroll bar function to accomodate larger amounts of data. While our list is rather small, the type of display being used seems to indicate that it's not going to have a scroll bar available when the list gets long. (it's a single box, white with a thin black line for a border, with small text seen in it.

3. Be able to select/search for vendor items. Search/sort via SKU #, MFG #, text within the item name, etc.
