At the moment, if I look at the 'missing patches' view for a particular patch (e.g. Google Chrome) I can see a list of hosts that still require this patch. I can select hosts with a checkbox and then press the 'install patch' button at the top if I want an immediate deployment.
For me, many of the patches are showing with a status of "Patch update is delayed since application in use" -- this is expected as we do not force daily reboots of our computers.
What I would find *incredibly* useful is if there was a "apply configuration" button at the top alongside the 'install patch' one. Then I could select the hosts that had deployment delayed with the checkbox, click the 'apply configuration' button to bring up a configuration apply window with the targets (hosts) filled in automatically -- I could then select my script that kills running Chrome processes, and that'd let me get these systems patched without forcing a reboot.
At the moment I have to manually create a new configuration and then fill in the host names individually which can be quite time consuming.
I don't know if this is possible but i'd be really nice :)
