Is there anyway to ensure that scheduled reports and e-mail fetching are turned OFF when a system is restored?

I ask because I restored our live environment to test server to check the backups and ended up with a couple of scheduled reports being sent out from the test system AND it picking up e-mails.

I appreciate it may be very unsupported/non standard, but an indication of what database tables control the processes or a config file that could be adjusted prior to starting the services would be appreciated.
