I was wondering if there is a way to bypass the "Alert the following technician(s) by e-mail when a new request is created." event if the technician creates a ticket and resolves it all in the same session.
Scenario: I create a ticket while helping someone on the phone or after, work is documented in the description, I select that it should be resolved. It then sends a notice to all technicians that a ticket has been created, and although the resolution is in the email, it can sometimes be missed especially if working remote and just looking at a phone or something. Then the technician is wasting time looking around for the ticket, or what happened to it. Again, not much of an issue if sitting at your desk, but if in the field its wasted time.
I was again wondering if there is a way through a rule or script to prevent the "Alert the following technician(s) by e-mail when a new request is created." from firing if the status is "Resolved"
Might be a pipe dream, but I figured it was worth the ask.
