First, I just want to say that I'm new to SSL, please pardon my stupidity.

We're in process of encrypting the connection from the outside to our server. I have a few questions and need help with.

1. Should I be using a self-signed or commercially signed cert?

2. If I need a commercially signed cert, which one should I purchase?
