Sorting Single Lines fields in request list view

Hello,

I can see that following build release 14900, sorting single line fields has been removed from the request list view.


This was a very useful albeit basic feature however and our users process requests based on one of these custom fields. For example, a "Surname" field which is a manual input on the requests was used and sorted based on the surname all requests relates to. This is because there can be multiple entries for a single person, so processing the requests this way is more efficient. Now however, there is no way to sort this field, they instead need to identify surnames with tickets logged and filter them manually to try and locate all tickets. Even when doing this however, there is no way to ensure this is done alphabetically as they did previously.

Is there a reason this was removed and is there any plan to re-introduce it? If not, why?
