Some requests / problems while evaluating SDP 7
Hello,
at the moment I am trying to implement our processes in SDPlus. Therefore I would like to suggest some more possible features:
1. Signing process
In some cases it is necessary for us to have two people to sign a purchase. At the moment there is only the possibility to select one person.
2. Editing AFTER delivery
Sometimes additional information or documents are available after finishing the purchasing process. Therefore it would be great if we would still be able to edit it and attach information. Maybe it would be enough if after receiving the assets the process would not automatically been closed.
3. Attaching Invoices
It would be nice to save information about invoices inside the purchasing process. For example the date, amount and number of an invoice.
The simplest way would be to have a button: add invoice (so that you are able to add more then one) with some fields in there.
4. Arranging additional fields
While trying to find a work around for 3. I revealed, that you are unable to change the position of new added fields. For example, I tried to add 9 fields so that you are able to save information for three invoices (date, costs, number) but it doesn't looked nice afterwards ;-) (not quite a good usability afterwards)
5. Directly access purchased assets
There is no direct linkage between a purchase and its assets. If you want to see one of the assets it would be nice to just click on it within the purchase screen.
6. Costs allocation
It would be nice if you could set different percentages within the purchase process for the cost center members.
For example if a new server is bought the costs for each department will be calculated by the number of workstations. Maybe it is possible to have an admin configuration area where the information for each department is stored and you can generate the actual percentages by just clicking on a button in the purchasing process (afterwards still manually changeable).
7. new product Type
If you are creating new product types, you can choose between Assets, Components & Software. In my opinion it would be nice to have a forth point "Services" in there.
8. changing asset resource
It would be nice to have the possibility while changing asset resource state to add comments which will be shown in the history screen or maybe to directly link requests while changing the status.
9. Linkage of maintenance costs
There should be the opportunity to pass maintenance costs automatically to the related assets. It would be nice to find them listed under the asset point "costs".
10. add fields for contracts
We would really like to add additional fields for contracts.
Some small bugs I have after upgrading from 5 to the newest version:
1. I am not able to add comments to attached files
2. Adding a default shipping/billing address doesn't work for me.
Did someone else experience those problems?
Maybe some of that features are interesting for you and other users.
