Some questions after evaluating SCP

Some questions after evaluating SCP

Hi all,

We're considering to switch from BMC Remedy to SupportCenter Plus and are evaluating it right now. I have some questions though... Maybe you can help.

1. We are planning to use the BU functionality since we have about a dozen of BU's ourselves. Our BU's are mostly identical except for the geographic area that they serve and some times the market segment they work in. Products and services are mostly identical though.
We noticed though that after initital creation of the BU's, you can't propagate any centralized data to the BU's anymore. E.g. our support plans are created at corporate level and need to be used by each BU (in their respective time zone and business hours). Changing a support plan/SLA and then manually propagating it to each BU seems very cumbersome... Isn't there a solution for this?

2. LDAP integration for customers. We currently have a portal with several web applications (e.g. E-learning). To have all the customer web applications work with the same username and password, we set up a LDAP directory with all customer logins. Would it be possible in any way to have customers login to their SCP customer portal using LDAP (So LDAP is only used for user validation).

3. Test environment. We plan to integrate SCP or any other support system with several other systems. For that we'd like to set up a dedicated support environment. I couldn't find any information regarding test environment licenses. How does this work?
