Just wanted to provide some feedback on the current 8207 version of service desk plus.
We had upgraded recently from 8016, and immediately noticed some changes that were, although small, made an impact to how we operate.
One of the biggest problems we have is with the Work Log. Since the Work Log has been moved in to tasks, its made things quite difficult to keep track of what's going on. Back in 8016, we could read the complete work log entry in its entirety from start to finish. With 8207, we've presented with a cut down work log which requires us now to move the cursor over the description column to in order to read it.
On top of that, the popup only stays open for a few seconds before closing, after which you must move your cursor away and bring it back in order to read large work logs. Another method of reading work logs is to click the work logs technician, which enables you to read fine, but also opens the work log for editing. This is undesirable as theres a danger of someone accidentally deleting the work log.
Would it be possible to have a button configured that expands all / each work log?
There is also a couple seconds delay when you open the Tasks tab, which can be slightly annoying. The work around for this is to select Actions | Add Work Log.
