software licenses and scanned software

i am finally trying to make full use of all the software scanning and licensing capability to ensure i am fully covered
so hvae scanned all workstations, categerorised software as managed, excluded, freeware etc.
also from the past I have assets (software licenses) that i have procured by using the purchasing section. (all of which was done when i was still on version 6, am now on 7019)
I have 2 main questions and i will give an example
i use symantec kvs vault for email archiving and use symantec outlook plugins on the desktops and laptops. when i search scanned software for the words vault it comes up with the following (see screenshot)
VERITAS Enterprise Vault (this is an extension on the email server)
VERITAS Enterprise Vault User Extensions (this is outlook plug in version 6.0)
Symantec Enterprise Vault (this is the actual kvs archive server application)
Symantec Enterprise Vault Outlook Add-In (this is outlook plug in version 7.5
all of the above products are licensed, but as the software scan picks up on 2 versions of outlook, is there any way to merge these 2 together?
the other thing is that hte licensing is per user and not per machine, i have 25 user licenses but have it installed on 30 machines.
also in the software assets under licenses i have 25 individual licenses assigned to people, would i be better of creating 1 enterprise license with qty 25? and again how would i assign this to users instead of installations on a machine
i have the same issue with microsoft licensing, i have a software assurance license with microsoft for 21 users (covering office product) the scan picks up on office 2003, 2007 etc, can i merge these 2 software products,
again the license is per user and not per machine (under the license agreement with MS i am allowed to have 1 install on an office desktop and 1 version on a home machine (i hapen to scan both) but this will make me go over my 21 limit
so in short 2 questoins
1) can you merge scanned software
2) how do you assign per user license instead of per machine?
