Software Deployment over WAN/Internet

Dear guys

We successfully installed Endpoint Central with Agent to a test client for software deployment. We are able to deploy software packages.
As soon we take out the test client of the LAN, having it on WAN/Internet only (without remote office/distribution server), it does not work anymore. The agent is able to communicate with the Endpoint Central server, we see logins, inventory etc. however, new assigned software packages won't be deployed.

Also the agent shows, that it is connected to the server


As soon we switch the test client back to LAN, the software gets installed.
Any input/hits what we may missed? Which logs should we search for information?
