Snmp traps from HP Compaq server not displayed properly
How can i get varbinds in Snmp traps from compaq / HP Insight Storage Agents to resolve to human readable names.
With older mibs the names resolved, but SNMP traps ended in the unsolicited traps bin.
With the latest MIB's from hp.com v.780 the traps get associated with the correct host, but they are shown like this: (I pulled out a hot spare in the server)
cpqDa7PhyDrvStatusChange is received from 8305949srv1.local with the following related information : sysName: 8305949SRV1, .1.3.6.1.4.1.232.11.2.11.1.0: 16, .1.3.6.1.4.1.232.3.2.2.1.1.20.2: Slot
In the event log, they are much more readable:
Drive Array Spare Drive Status Change. The spare drive in Slot 4, SCSI Port 1 Drive 0 has a new status of 3.
(Spare status values: 1=other, 2=invalid, 3=failed, 4=inactive, 5=building,6=active)[SNMP TRAP: 3047 in CPQIDA.MIB]
I have loaded the MIB's cpqhost-mib and cpqida-mib (in this order) with the web gui, and the mibstobeloaded.conf file. I have tried renaming the files according to this post: http://forums.manageengine.com/forumHome.do?forumGroupId=49000000002007&forumTopicId=49000002639989amp;highlight=hp+raid
Nothing seems to help. Mib zip attached
