Simplified Red Hat Patch Management Workflow: Key Updates And Actions Needed

Good day folks !

We are excited to announce enhancements to the Red Hat Patch Management workflow in our product, designed to streamline and automate key processes for our enterprise customers.

What’s New?

Simplified Machine Nomination and Account Configuration:

  • Previously, customers had to manually nominate Red Hat machines for downloading package manager files and configure accounts to access patch binaries.

  • These steps are now handled using Red Hat certificates, ensuring accurate and efficient package management and patch binary downloads without manual intervention.

Note: Endpoints must still have an active Red Hat subscription to be managed within our product.

Action Required:

As part of this workflow enhancement, customers are required to allow the following domain in their proxy list:

cdn.redhat.com

This domain is essential for the new workflow to function correctly, enabling seamless package management and patching processes.

This updated workflow will soon be available to all enterprise customers.

For detailed instructions on the updated workflow, please refer to the How-To Documentation.
