Set Child Ticket Requester Based on Parent Ticket User Selection

I'm looking to have a parent ticket with either a dropdown showing a list of users in a custom group (not sure how to auto populate) or use the editor field as the user selection.
From this have the child ticket be generated with the requester being the person selected on the parent ticket.

Currently we use the editor field, but once the person edits, they no longer have access to the ticket's information or able to edit again. This is why I was thinking of having the ticket split into two requests.

I've gone through creating the setup and was able to produce the child ticket, but wasn't able to set the requester correctly. Also, not sure the best way for the selection field to be visual for the initial requester and usable for the automation.

To note, this is an onboarding request which we plan to use the same field for ADManager automation.
