We've had training on this already by ManageEngine however I am continuing to struggle with notifications on Change Management. There are too many notifications. I have changed the workflow and removed any individuals from the notification list yet it still sends out notifications.
For Example. We have a simple change control process.
1. Requester submits a change.
2. Change gets created
3. Requester completes the planning stage
No email notifications thus far which what I want.
4. As soon as the requester completes the Planning stage he submit's it for Review.
5. As part of our workflow the next stage is Approval-Pending.
6. The Change Approver gets 2 notifications. 1 notification that a change is submitted for review and another email that the change is awaiting approval. I don't want the change is submitted for review email. How do I eliminate that - there are no entries for notification for the Review stage. Only notification is to the change approver for approval.
7. When the change approver approves the change the change goes to the implementation stage. Which is great.
8. The requester completes the implementation stage and the change is automatically closed when the change is marked complete by the requester.
9. 2 emails are generated to the Change Approver. 1 email states that the change is implemented successfully and a 2nd email that the change is completed successfully. I don't want to the implementation email. Yet again, I have made sure that in my change workflow there is no one specified to be notified during the implementation stage yet it still sends out an email.
What am I missing here? I have been scratching my head for the past few days trying to get this properly implemented.
Thanks.
