ServiceDesk Change Closure Rules - Prompt for field completion as you exit Stage
(with respect to ServiceDesk Plus 9018 Enterprise)
Current Build behaviour:
When
- "Associated tasks should be completed" is checked under Change Closing Rules
- Implementation Tasks are still pending
- you select a Status Action that moves the Change from Implementation to another Stage
....the Implementation Stage locks for editing (regardless of the Change Role). When you go to close the Change it will not let you do so because the Task is not Closed. The ChangeManager must set the Stage back to Implementation in order to close the Task.
Suggested enhancement:
If you are selecting a Status Action that will change the Stage and there are Change Closure Rule items in the current Stage that are not completed, prompt with 'Need to complete fields that are mandatory for Change Closure'. It would probably be a great idea to be able to turn it on or off (maybe in the 'Change Closure Rules') in case some customers have Status Actions that re-open the Stage later in the Change lifecycle.
