We have a large service catalog and our ecosystem contains a number inter-connected products and services that are distinct service categories but, because it isn't always clear from the end-user which system might be affected, sometimes they have issues finding the correct template.
For example:
Marketing system -> PMS -> EMR -> Portal
Sometimes, we have scenarios where the end user, because of their scope of view in the enterprise, wouldn't naturally associate an EMR request to a function they are performing in the PMS system, so when they look at the PMS category, they don't find the appropriate template and end up using a generic template.
My feature request is to be able to create and store a shortcut in one Service Category for a template that resides in another. We could copy the template into the second Service Category, but this introduces complexities in reporting and in having to maintain multiple copies of an identical template.
My proposal to to be able to create a shortcut to the template that has a slightly different look (an indicator stating it is a shortcut and mouse-over text to identify (for educational purposes) the service category the template lives in.
Please let me know if you have any questions or perhaps someone has solved this a different way.
