Build: SDP Enterprise Version 8114
Up until now we have basic templates configuration for our service catalogs. And since the end user is getting accustomed with the interface we would like to make changes into our service catalogs in order to capture as much information as possible.
There are two ways. The first is the additional fields which you can define in template ( with a limitation of 24 text characters for one IT Service Category) and the other being through resources which does not have limitation and in some sense replicates a conventional paper form.
Scenario: New Joiner Form
We have a complex set of details which we require from HR when accepting a new joiner request. Accounting all and with respect to the
"fields or questions" whichever way we define the template it ends up being 16 specific details.
Which according to you shall be the ideal way of designing the template. In the fields i can make them mandatory whereas resources we dont have any restrictions ( AS OF NOW....but is there any plans in future releases to make the questions in resources to be made mandatory). If the end user does not fill out the required information which at this point we have limitation of making mandatory it negates our purpose.
Also ,With additional fields i am aware that report can be taken. Is it possible to take reports based on questions answered.
Thanks
