I have downloaded ServiceDeskPlus 5 for evaluation. It seems an excellent one which can make save great time for us. But unfortunately I was disappointed the way it works (or it does not). I really would like to try it, but in our situation it becomes impossible. Here is some vital information about my problem. I will be grateful if you can help.
I have an XP machine with SP2 and IIS installed.
I do not have any databases installed except Microsoft Access.
My local settings are set to Turkish.
 My XP is in Turkish.
I have installed ServiceDeskPlus 5 successfully without a problem.
After installation I started the server by pressing the icon on my desktop and it seemed to be working.
Unfortunately, while the server is loading, without giving an error it exits (or stops).
I was happy that this time the blue ribbon (progress bar showing the loading status of server) went ahead a bit more writing Loading SQLOneSearch. Sometimes it goes away in the very beginning sometimes it goes even further near to the end (but never hits the end and paints all the white space to blue.).
Later I tried the source of this malfunction. I looked around forums. It did not help.
I realized that I did not have any instance of MySQL installed on my machine. I am sure that it is not a requirement for SD+. Anyway I have installed MySQL 5.0. Nothing has changed. The server never starts.
To be sure, I have installed SD+ on two other windows systems. The result is the same: Very good software which does not works.
On the task bar I sometimes see two instances of ServiceDeskPlus 5. But when I get over with my mouse, they both disappear.
 So please, HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!
What is the solution? Is there any way of making ServiceDeskPlus5 work ?
PS1: Do I need any other Web server other than IIS? For example apache?
